Just for a sense of scale, the boat at the bottom of the photo is the T.S.S. Earnslaw (1912 Edwardian vintage twin screw steamer, and is the only remaining commercial passenger-carrying coal-fired steamship in the southern hemisphere. According to wikipedia, she can take 11 crew and 389 passengers.
I had the good fortune to go for a dinner cruise across the lake on her, and I can assure you, she is not a small ship. Which really makes you realise just how big that mountain truly is.
