Fox Glacier

Fox Glacier. Which led to the guys calling each other Rock and Ice. There was a barrier up, said 'falling rocks - not safe to enter'. But people were walking out there anyway. Karin and I looked at each other and went 'uhhhh. no.' The guys decided they were big brave men and ventured out anyway, came back telling of how they braved rushing icy streams and climbed cliff faces and a bunch of other bs to get out there to have a look... the rest of the trip all we heard was 'Rock blah blah blah' ... 'blah blah blah Ice'. Bloody Men.

A couple of months ago, an Indian family were there and the 2 sons (early 20's) ventured too close to the glacier, and a big chunk of it fell off and they ended up dead One wasn't found for about 10 days.

So the way Karin and I figure it... we were right to hang back and be cautious.
