Artist's Comments

Another early morning shot from the Triple Peaks Challenge morning. While waiting for the first competitors to get to the river, some thick fog started to roll in around us. The sun was coming up behind it all, which lead to this crazy mist/sun rays lighting. It's kinda cool when you can see the sun but you're not blinded by looking at it.

Edited from original version. Added vignette, cropped slightly different, pulled a little bit more detail out of the shadows.

Nicely done, but the horizon looks like it's pretty severely tipped.

It's a river - there really isn't a horizon - the river takes off from left upwards right :)

It's so lovely! I think the thing that you cant put your finger on its the false horizon, it feels like it's tipping over but it really isnt.
